Someone asked about your ff and it got me thinking, so I went looking for A Soul Unsatisfied to reread.  The link doesn't seem to work.

Did you remove it from the DWG?

If so, why!?!?!

If not, can you email it to me?

Please.

Now  that I've started looking, I just need my shot of Richard Fitzwilliam of the RDL (?).

:)

So I was gonna post tonight and now someone else did and I dunno if I should wait or not.

If it were an author I was reading, I probably would, but it's not, so...

Yeah, I should probably be polite and wait till she has at least a couple reviews.  One?

Well, I'm off to watch a movie.  Alone.  Tom is out and my mom/stepdad are sleeping b/c it's 2 hours later where they're from (oh, by the way, my parents, one set at least, are here.  YEAH!)

Will post Ch. 17 later.

Chapter Sixteen of A Surfeit of Clerics can be found here.

:)

(I think I'm going to have to bribe Katharino to make a Kitty/Henry icon.  OR maybe I'll do it in Illustrator.   I actually like the Kitty from P&P3 after seeing her in Bleak House.  So maybe she and who?)

Perhaps the Doctor from Bleak House.  Too old?  Richard Armitage is too hot and a bit too old.

Must think on this.

I realized that it's been a while since I did a general life update. Since there are (albeit a very few) people who read this as a way to keep up with the goings on at our house as opposed to most of you (who are flisters from the Austen fandom, at least originally), I decided to do a general update.

So, in no particular order, here's life at the "E" household:

8.) Finally, I'm amazed at how much silly pleasure having a LJ over the past six months has given me.  I don't think I've written one truly profound thing, but the habit of "journaling" is so much richer when all of you interact with me/it and I with you/yours.

Thanks,[profile] liselise for piquing my interest and introducing me to the concept.

I thought I'd post my latest chapter here to avoid the temptation of posting so soon after Sandy's. She's my beta, after all.

So, here is my pre-post of Ch. 15 of ASOC. Thoughtfully cut to save your bandwidth, it's a big 'un )

A Surfeit of Clerics--Chapter Twelve has been posted here:  ASOC 12

Sort of spoilers, do not read if you are still in doubt of who Lizzy ends up with:

Now I just have to figure out what to do with Henry.  Kitty is not quite mature enough for him yet, but Charlotte is not nearly clever enough.   Hmmmmm.  Well, not everyone can end up with Lizzy, and I'm already happily married so no Mary Sue for him either.

This is your chance to change the course of the story.  H was always meant for K, but then he went and had a crush on L (that was not intended or foreseen).  So, what do you think.  Send him back to Kympton for Advent and Christmas and ....then what?  A sequel maybe.  I don't think he's going to find resolution in this novella.  But maybe some hint as to his future love?

Curious and muse-free,

Meg

Here is the link to: A Surfeit of Clerics--Chapter Ten

I had better start writing as I'm only 2 chapters ahead of myself now.

Yikes.

Besides a few nights where E & A were up to late and fell apart (or one of the adults taking care of them did), our time in WI and IL has been going very well.  My DH is home getting the washer fixed (yay) and taking care of the dying hermit crab (boo) and enjoying the cleaned out garage (yay).

I've been having weird super-jet-lag where I don't feel like sleeping until midnight or later.  It's been a week, so perhaps it's just garden- variety insomnia.

I just realized today that I could chat when most Dwiggies do b/c I'm two hours earlier here, but I am also supposed to be spending time with family (loads)--so perhaps that will not happen even now.

I haven't written a word (except edits) while gone so my story is feeling very far removed right now.  It had been so immediate just prior to the trip (as you could probably tell!)

Guess that's all the blather...

Just posted A Surfeit of Clerics--Chapter Eight

This is the one where I'm afraid I might lose a lot of my audience.  What do you think?  Too over the top?  I couldn't resist.  Really.  I tried.  I took it out and nothing else was remotely working until I put it back in.

Oh well.  Fiction writing is not for the faint of heart.

Props to Katharino for my Mary/Collins icon.  It really bolstered my courage as I prepared to post this chapter.  LOL

This never happens to me. Never. Okay, rarely. Since I only have one tiny story and three chapters posted, that's very understandable.

Still, when I went to the Tea Room today and saw that Margaret F had written a list of short fic recs starting with "I particularly like:  MegE's Hunsford Interrupted".

My little story was one among many fine tales (incl. a bunch of Sandy's!), and I was totally psyched. It made up for Lise and Sandy mocking Lizzy's temper in ASOC. *smirks*

Anyway, what a fun day, lots of reviews (even those mentioned above and defended below) and this "pimp" too.

Hee hee.

Did I mention I love writing but I love having readers even more?

Meg

Edit: I have over 20,000 words. More than most of my college term papers.  This was a lot more fun!
