Tom and I went out with K and T last night. Tom and I had dinner and then T & K went to the new Superman movie and T and I went to The Devil Wears Prada. We enjoyed our movie a lot more than the guys enjoyed theirs.

MILD SPOILERS for TDWP in next paragraph, rest is okay:

TDWP was very similar to the book until about 2/3 the way through. Then, it veered off into a completely (or nearly completely) different story line (still a trip to Paris but the circumstances around her going and leaving are v. diff.) I enjoyed it, but prob. not as much as the book.

The best part of the eve. was going for dessert at Fuzio, while T & K had dinner at the same place. It was yummy and fun and a great end to this weird half or mixed double date. (I used the word swapping about the movie part and everyone got the willies and told me NOT to use that word about all going out together. I get it.)

Thanks, Mom and Bill, for the bbsitting.

Only SIX days left till the walk, 5 till the kick-off. Yesterday I walked to the downtown area (never done that from my side of the freeway before), about 5 miles, before breakfast.

It felt great.

Get iron-on material for Avon Walk T-shirts/hats, etc.

Walk, walk, walk

Decide on water bottles, bum bag, underwear (TMI?), final outfits, practice packing (weight limit!)

Staying at Liz's mom's or camp?

Re-read "ready to walk" info

Plan food, etc. Try out lemonade powder stuff.

??? what am I forgetting? ???
