So, E is doing much better but still had a low-grade fever today.  They weren't kidding when they said 3 to 7 days on the thing that's going around--and that's just the fever part.  He's left with congestion and a cough.  Yuck.

But, he's perked back up, so I'm happy.

While trapped in the house and yard the past few days I've been very productive:
And it only cost $1175.

Yeah.

But it needed to be done, really, and it's been over a year since it should have been done.  So it feels great to get it off my plate.

Even if it does eat in to my tax refund = new cupboards in the dining room fund quite a bit.

All in all, this was the most productive week I've had around the house in ages.  And I played with both my kids more than usual.  No gym frees up a lot of time.  And makes me slightly batty too!

Thanks for listening and supporting me--yesterday, especially!  You are a great flist.

...well, actually, I like to complain.  So I will.

It is 78 degrees out today.  All week the weather has been sunny and clear and BEAUTIFUL.

This is not my complaint.

My complaint is that I've been stuck at home all week with a very sick child (104.1 fever on Tuesday only slowing coming down to 101.3 today--he's actually pretty chipper today.  Yeah!).  I have not been able to be out in that beautiful weather except to do a little yard work.

Yes, that was fine.  But really, I want to be hiking and biking and walking and playing.

Staying inside folding laundry, cleaning toilets and serving endless glasses of whatever beverage will tempt E is not exactly what the weather calls for.  (Neither is blogging, but it's much more fun than the former!)

Okay.  I feel better now that I've gotten that off my (thankfully uncongested as yet) chest.

Was awake for 2 hours in middle of the night, feeling like I might throw up.  Nothing came of it.   Nothing never comes of that feeling for me, so now I'm lying low today and waiting to see if I tick off my tummy.  Kinda feels like morning sickness, but it would be nearly miraculous for that to be the case.  (I won't go all TMI on you about that!)

My sympathies to [profile] mariavii for her actual getting of this stomach bug thing (hard to believe it's going around in Boston, Chicago and California, but I've had reports of it from all those places).

*praying I don't join you, Maria*

Semi-sick--and actually getting housework done because I skipped yoga,
